Oregon Legal Resources
General Resources
- Oregon Online

The Oregon OnLine Home Page is the top level on a rapidly expanding pyramid that encompasses both the exciting and the
mundane in Oregon. From here you can follow links to state government policies and administrative rules, or end up looking at tour routes through Oregon's wine country.
- Oregon State Archives

The Oregon State Archives is a division of the Office of Secretary of State. It preserves and provides access to Oregon's
permanently valuable documentary heritage. The records held by the Archives include all levels and periods of Oregon government. From the provisional and territorial periods to today's government, the State Archives holds state, county, and municipal records. Holdings now include records from the Legislative Assembly, the offices of the Governor and Secretary of State, state agencies such as the departments of Forestry, Corrections, Human Resources, Military, and Water Resources. In addition, the Archives holds a significant number of historical county records.
- Port of Portland
The Port of Portland is located in the state of Oregon next to the second longest waterway system in the country, the
Columbia/Snake river system. We've become the region's largest port and one of the most diverse on the West Coast. Our facilities and services help move cargo and people to and from destinations all over the world. The Port's combination of
facilities and substantial land holdings have contributed to Portland becoming a major trade and transportation center.
- Department of Administrative Services' Printing and Telecommunications Sections
The Transportation, Purchasing & Print Services (TPPS) Web Server has the distinction of being the first Oregon state government agency web server outside of the higher-education community. The TPPS web server is operated by the Oregon Department of Administrative Services, Transportation, Purchasing & Print Services Division to provide information about our various programs to Oregon state government agencies and other interested parties.
- Oregon Peer Courts (Teen Courts)
Peer court, also known as teen court, is a sentencing court for youths who have committed an offense. Peer courts mostly deal with first-time offenders. The teenager who has committed an offense pleads guilty to the charge in juvenile court and, in return (with the court's permission), agrees to abide by the
terms of a sentence to be set forth by other teenagers of the same age. A key component to peer court is that the offender must sit in on one or more future peer juries to determine a sentence for other offenders. The results of these courts in Oregon and nationwide are astounding.
- Oregon State Scholarship Commission
The Oregon State Scholarship Commission administers a variety of State of Oregon, Federal, and privately funded student financial aid programs for the benefit of Oregonians attending institutions of post-secondary education. These programs provide 75,000 students each year with approximately $200 million in loans, grants, and scholarships.
- The Oregon Death with Dignity Act
The full text of "Measure 16," approved by voters on November 8, 1994, by which a terminally ill Oregon adult may make a written request for medication for the purpose of ending his or her life in a humane and dignified manner.
