Mediation

Oftentimes, when a dispute arises, the parties involved may try to mediate a settlement of the dispute. For example labor disputes or disputes involving contract rights are often mediated. Mediation is a process whereby a third party who is neutral - i.e. has no interest in the dispute - is hired by the parties to try and work out a compromise so the dispute can be settled.

Mediators are professionals - often attorneys or retired judges - who are experienced in the art of mediation. Mediation usually requires the presence of the parties or their representatives and can take many sessions to complete. Mediation can result in a compromise or it can result in a stalemate. No outcome is guaranteed. If you need assistance with respect to an upcoming mediation or if you are trying to locate a mediator, fill out our Free Case Evaluation Form.
