- Original Settlement Matrix Compensation Benefits - Under the Settlement, patients who took the diet drugs Pondimin and/or Redux have a right to receive compensation if they have developed serious levels of valvular heart disease. For Diet Drug recipients, Matrix A-1 and Matrix B-1 apply. For Diet Drug Recipients' spouses, children and "significant others", Matrix A-2 and Matrix B-2 apply. The amounts which individuals are entitled to recover under this Settlement depend on the person's age at diagnosis of valvular heart disease, the person's "Level of Severity" and additional criteria.
