Copyright Law

Copyright law is designed to protect the original work of artists, authors, musicians and others whose talent, creativity and ideas are embodied in a particular "work" such as a novel, poem, short story, non-fiction work, musical score, song, and software source codes. State and Federal copyright laws are intended to protect these rights by providing a registration system under which one can register (i.e. "copyright") his/her original work and thereby prevent others from using the work without the copyright owner's permission.

If you need assistance "copyrighting" a work or protecting a copyrighted work from unauthorized use, please fill out our Free Case Evaluation Form.
